Expanded Learning Opportunities for Every Scholar

Our Viking Explorer program provides exceptional, year-round support for students, running 180 school days from after school until 6 PM. We offer a well-rounded schedule, including:

Homework Support & Academic Time: A structured environment where students can complete assignments with guidance.
Physical Activity: Encouraging health and wellness through daily movement.
Enrichment Programs: Engaging activities that spark curiosity and creativity.

In addition to Viking Explorer, our Discovery Academy opens the door for students to discover a wide range of skills and interests. From visual and performing arts to technology, we create opportunities for students to thrive in areas they are passionate about.

We also provide break camps and Saturday field trips, giving students extra chances to learn, grow, and have fun beyond the classroom.

Viking Explorers Program (ACES)

Our Viking Explorers Program is our after school program that is tailored to families that need ongoing care 5 days a week and for the entire school year. Our Explorers program operates 180 days a year, aligning with the school calendar, and begins immediately after the school day ends, extending care until 6 pm. Designed to support holistic development, the program encompasses three key components: homework and academic support, engaging physical activities, and enriching opportunities for exploration. Students are grouped in self-sustained classrooms with peers of the same grade level, ensuring a conducive learning environment. To provide personalized attention, our staff-to-student ratio is carefully maintained, with one staff member for every 20 students in grades 1st through 8th and one staff member for every 10 students in TK/K. This ensures that each child receives the support and guidance they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally during their after-school hours.

Le Grand Elementary Discovery Academy (ELO-P)

Our Discovery Academy is an opportunity for your scholar to discover interests that they may have not known they had. We are dedicated to offering comprehensive enrichment opportunities for students beyond the traditional school year. Our program operates year-round in alignment with the school calendar and extends its reach with an additional 30 intersession days, covering summer and school breaks. This extended duration ensures consistent support and engagement throughout the year. Emphasizing diverse interests and skill development, our program features workshop-style opportunities facilitated by multiple staff members. These workshops cover a wide range of subjects and activities, catering to the varied passions of our students. We offer six-week sessions focused on specific skills, allowing participants to delve deeper into their areas of interest and cultivate expertise over time. Through this multifaceted approach, we aim to provide a dynamic and enriching learning experience that nurtures creativity, fosters personal growth, and inspires a lifelong love for learning.

Important to note that our Explorer program participants are also given the opportunity to participate in all the fun and engaging workshops offered through our Discovery Academy.
